After 3 trips to the dunes ( Silver Lake and Little Sahara) I've decided it would be more fun to use a sport quad instead of the ol' Wolverine, so last night I became the winning bidder on a 440ex on ebay, looks pretty clean, almost new tires, shaved front fenders, nerfs, kill tether, piped and jetted for the big bore kit. It is only about an hour away, so I will be picking it up in the next day or so.So I am here to ask you Honda riders if there are any things I should pay special attention to on this particular quad? it should be partly similar to my son's 300ex, but I know when you mod a motor, there can be things that pop up, or reliability suffers, but for the price, I couldn't pass it up, and my son really wants to go back to the dunes this spring, so I needed an affordable ride for the dunes and fast trails ( even though the Wolverine is plenty fast on the trails). Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.
