How do you measure squish clearance?
#1
I'm reading a great stuff about high compression...etc.
They say that you can diminish the squish clearance down to 0.0125 times the stroke. Cool. That's valuable info for a head shaving...but how do I measure the squish clearance? Or anyone know the stock squish clearance of a shee?
Thanks.

put a light coat of oil on the piston and head, place a piece of modeling clay on the piston, put the head back on with gasket and turn the engine over. remove the head a cut the clay down the middle and measure the thickness with a mic
