water troubles for new outlander

Default water troubles for new outlander

has anyone had these machines under water my nieghbour put his in the river upsidedown it was uder for about a hour befor be got to it with a pick up truck to pull it out we got it home drained water from oil air box and took plugs out after that it started up but then stalled and cant get it to go again is the ibm computer that runs them things fried or what else could it be

If it wont even attempt to turnover, you have water in your motor... check the oil as well

If you tried to start it with water in the engine lets hope you didn't bend the connecting rod!!!...Caper.........I would turn it over for awhile without the spark plug in!!!!!!

Water got to the injectors. Try to get them cleaned up too. Engine manuals for sale online or you could possibly download that section online. Did water run out of the exhaust when you loaded it? Some guys hoist up the front end, turn it over with the plug out. Do a search on a couple of forums on this issue if you want.

After doing what the other posts said, change oil, run it several minutes, drain thoroughly, ck filter for gook, drain it also, change oil a couple more times until it is no longer milky colored.

Hey check the air filter the thing above the gas tank and under the handel bars . Next time put a snorkel kit on it! Trust me these can ams are not friendy with water and sand mixture! Next ime try a snorkle kit! We had to put a home made one one so gl or talk to my husband he has done a 500 outlander and a 800 outlander. If you don't believe look at my page !

snorkel kit wouldnt have did anything on this one he rolled it off a bridge and it lannded upside down we took the plugs out and turned it over put the front end up right in the air. i think we just might let the dealer deal with this im sure they have a scaner to plug it its got just as much electronics as a car

change the oil , front and rear differts oil drain the gas it may have water in it and chack if the gas pump comes on and i holp he did not kill the enging
