Default Kilometers to Miles On Outlander

Just bought an Outlander Max 500. Does anyone know how to change the reading on the gauge from kilometrs to miles? Would appreciate it if you let me know.

Thanks

Sorry but back to the dealer you go, have to connect to the computer to change that. Shame on the dealer.

Anyone know any tricks to get around going to dealer or does it HAVE TO BE at the dealer?

Yep we had to do the same thing to ours. We also had to have them switch to English instead of french. LOL!

While your in there make sure that they check the intake eblow where the air filter mounts to. They updated the elbow but the old ones the air filter can fall off.

why dont the dealers add this stuff to the checklist of things they do before you take delivery? do they charge when you bring it back to get the mph thing switched? its good to know b/c ive been thinking about a can am lately i'll add it to my list of things to have them check IF i get one.

since you work at a dealer are there any other problems to check for with ANY other model? when is the 450 and the renegade 500 coming out? or is this something sworn to secrecy? any pics??

that 500 seems like a nice bike. anyone with any problems with it?

according to the BRP infomercial (yeah i know some say its a little biased) the 500 (not 650) beat a rincon 680 in a drag race. not too bad for 500cc. id like to have a copy of that DVD. i called can am/brp but all i got was a automated thing. is there away i can get that? the only bad thing about around here with can/am brp is that there is only like 1 or 2 dealers in the state.

Haven't seen any major porblems todate on the 500, I hade a 06 800 that the air filter hade fallen off and took out the motor, the custmer also hade swaped it. I know that the started installing the new elbows in 07 but still should be checked. No the dealer should not charge you. There is also a setup sheet check list that comes with all can-am from the factory of stuff to check.

Yes the 500 bet the 680 rincon. I don't think it was a fair comparison though (I am still a honda guy) From the state point that they aren't really in the same class.
