Default 2004 sp600 spedo

I recently bought a 2004 600 sportsman the spedo does not work all of the dipslay works fuel gauge, 4x4 light,rpm gauge,trip meter and hour meter but the spedo does not, are they a cable or are they electronic and what does it run off of thanks for all your help

They are electronic. I would test you speed sensor first and go from there. I have an '05 700 and the speed senser is in the right front.

yea chances are its the wheel sensor on the right front wheel i think. could be wrong.

Default 2004 sp600 spedo

Its called the hall effect sensor. It is in the right front strut behind the rotor. Just follow the wire down the strut and you will see it.
