JE 11.5 to 1 Piston weight.
#1
My postal scale only goes to 1/10 OZ so its not the most accurate, but here are the weights!
Stock piston and wrist pin = 19.5 oz
JE piston and wrist pin = 17.2 oz
So the JE is 2.3 oz lighter or around 65 grams...
Just more info,
Scott

Measured the stock with pin and clips, no rings 526.17 grams
Measured a JE 11.5 with pin and clips, no rings 462.66 grams
The JE 11.5 is thus 63.51 grams lighter
Based on Eric's gram weight for the stock, the rings would weight about 29.06 grams.
This puts the JE at 491.72 grams.
I have two motors in my basement for rebuild. I will cc the heads and the piston to find out what the real static compression computes.
My only complaint so far is that the deck height on the side quench pad is .005" higher than the quench pads by each set of valves. Trying to set the quench at .040 may have to be compromised.
