sportman 500 rear brake disc

Default sportman 500 rear brake disc

My 96 sportsmans rear brake disc rattles and wobbles and makes all kinds of noise until I apply the brakes. is there supposed to be a set screw in there or anyone have any suggestions to quiet that thing down or keep it still?

I believe there are two dowel pins that the brake housing fits into and is then bolted.


Is it the brake housing assymbly or the disc?

Default sportman 500 rear brake disc

That was the year of the rear disk update, have to go to the dealer and get the part numbers from the update. All you mostlikly need is the piece that the hub bolts too. It get worn then the whole hub moves on the shaft.
