Well I just got home and my new ECM is here......YES!!!!.....Also the shop manual for the:
2006 450
2005..400/500......Same book..........
The new Part number is 4011803...still made by Sure Power Industries.....This one says MADE IN U.S.A.
last one MADE IN CHINA....

It is very different from the last one ...larger with a wire harness and is not black....but....silver in color still with fins!!!!....The old one was totally inclosed this one has TORX screws on the back for access!!!!!!
Well I put it on tonight and try it!!!!!!...I will check the service manual and see what number is listed there!!!.....Thanks..........Caper,...............

 

its funny when i put that number in it doesnt even come up as being a good number. this is what it says but who knows right. KIT-SUREPOWER MODULE

Well just got in.....IT WORKS.....YA HOOOOO!!!!
It takes up more space in there than the old one.......sticker on it Stendori still says ATV 400/500.
Now I can go on my ride this Sat. Temp going to be around 18 deg C. here Good by winter!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Stendori....The Part # on my invoice says # 2203348.....But label on the Module says the other....Your guess is as good as mine!!!!!!!!!...Caper.......

I have power problems with my sportsman 500HO 2006. After two hours ride lights goes down and panel starts to blink. I gues that problem is in power module/controller (part no 4011110), could it be so?
I already started to search for this part, but found that it's replaced with other one (2203348). Is it true and can I buy it? How to be sure that my 4011110 is fault?

401110 is faulty if working or not!!! Replace it! Polaris still replacing them out of warranty because of fire hazzard. If already having problems,I would DISCONNECT battery until new one installed! Ecm Controls charging and fan operation,sounds like yours is on its way out!!

 

Yes replace it....My wife still had the Factory one in and working very well I must add..........I was on my third one and I needed to bring my wife's Quad in also for the up-grade even though there was not trouble with it at the time..........But as old Polaris tech says there is a fire hazzard..........

Even with my second one (new one) the fan was running one day out in the yard after the Quad sat for over 4 hours so the motor was stone cold.......And drained my battery over-night in the garage...............................Very scary to know that fan was running that long in the garage!!
Could have over-heated and caused a fire with the wires......And that was the new up-dated one.......................Caper..........

wow there some good old info right there. lol caper is the "master" when it comes to the ecm issue for sure.
