The DS is a bit bigger. As far as which is better, who can really say that?? It's all about the rider when it comes down to it. Learn to ride your quad good and be happy! I would own a Pred before a DS if it was me.....

Depends on your riding style.......if you like to cruise and be comfy.....get the DS. Its great in the sand.....king of the dunes,IMO. If you like racing a bit more......go with the pred, its a little more nimble and lighter.

As far as faster, etc........The ds can be heavily modded......and stock its faster too. Pred is getting closer tho......

I've got an older DS that I wouldn't part with. It's great in the dunes and that's pretty much all I use it for. If I was looking at riding the trails the Raptor 700 had a pretty good review. The Pred looks like it would be okay but check out the frame and suspension on the Pred vs a Raptor.

I would say the pred for all around riding. But i prefer my ds in the dunes, drags and overall comfort and quality.I had a choice between the two and i dont like how the pred sits. But its all opinion. Both awsome machines.

Which would you pick for cross country/enduro and really long races through all sorts of terrain?? which is better for the baja 250 or baja 1000? Dakar? i have never seen a pred in dakar.... only rappy's (700) and ds650, maybe a 450r too but thats it...... would the pred break down half way through or something? or would it need too many oil changes before the race is done.

The pred is no different than any other race quad out there........they all need oil changes, and valves adjusted.....often!

For xc racing......the pred would be the only way to go(its much narrower too)......As for a long desert race......pred wouldn't stand a chance...

im going to assume your talking about strength and size, alot of the components on the 700 are made of aluminum, which is why they're considerably larger in size compared to the predator parts, which are made of steel.
