Im looking to buy an 07 or 08 atv. I read that the outlaw 525 is the fastest in acceleration but i dont know any input would be much appreciated. Basically im looking at

Honda's 450
Suzuki's 450
kawasaki's 450
yfz450
outlaw 525

Why would you base your decision on buying a quad on "Fastest accelerating stock atv" ?

 

This will mean different things to different people! Do you mean low end, mid, high end????

For example, a Banshee has no low end at all so it is slow out of the gate, yet it has a hit in the middle that can jerk your arms out of their sockets. On the other hand, my 400EX is torquey and has lots of low end, so it can jump off the line fast but then gets easily beaten on the high end by lots of other machines.

Pick a machine first based on handling and suspension!

then it is obviously either the zook or the 'law......... most travel for the zook and irs for the 'law

 

they don`t make them anymore...the fastest accelerating stock quad was the suzuki lt500r.....AKA quadzilla.

 

if you can find an LT500 you will be quick in the start.

 

I have owned a Banshee, Zilla and Raptor at one time and I can tell you this much, nothing is as fast as a Quadzilla, but I have never even ridden a stock Banshee or Quadzilla before.

Well the 525(510cc) KTM is the fastest accelerating motocross bike right now ,so putting the same motor in a ATV would be a good guess.

 

Wait for a KTM 525! Should be available soon....

Is there a fuel injected Honda 490 on the horizon????
