Default '03 700 Trans/Gear Case Oil

It's been a while since I've visited and had to create a new account, so Hello once again..

Anyways, I've done a few searches and couldn't really find anything conclusive. What would be an alternative to use in place of the Polaris gear oils for my front end and transmission?

Gear oil is too thick and I've scene a few posts that a synthetic 5w-50 will work well? Or another suggestion?? I do not have a place to buy either Amsoil or Respsol.

Thanks

I use castrol synthetic 5-30 in my engine and tranny on both my machines , has worked well for 3400 miles on my 700. The front end uses the polaris hub drive fluid, havent found anything to substitute, tried atf but diff wouldnt kick in and out correctly, the rear diff I use castrol synthetic 75-90, has also worked well.
