Whats so great about honda? No personal attacks please

honda has been known for their reliabiltity, the engines, yes, but more than that. The machine that won me over was the old trx300 utility quads. We had one where i used to work that we beat the crap out of (wasnt mine ) hauling a large trailer full of leaves. had so much weight that someone had to sit on the front rack to keep it from doing a wheelie with the trailer full. I figured it would need differential work, clutch work, etc....
know what we did to it for work? Oil changes and tires.

Honda has the best ergonomics in the industry. They just seem to know how to make a cockpit that will nicely fit most riders.
Their quality, and "fit and finish" are the best in the industry as well.
Their designs are usually well thought out and pretty thoroughly tested before the machine goes on the market. A lot of manufacturers seem to leave the final R&D testing to the first group of riders that buy the quads. They see what breaks and falls apart, then they fix that the next year. Honda seems to have that worked out ahead of time. Sure, they will have an occasional recall, but you won't see catastrophic stuff like broken frames and such.
Engines are well designed, reliable, and durable....and no weenie belt drive automatic transmissions!
I have owned Yamahas and Suzukis, as well as a bunch of Hondas. I can't think of any other quads that I would care to own, except the 7 Hondas that I now have! (I would however gladly exchange my Rancher 350 for a new 420, and my 04 R, for an 06 or 07!)

Now let me start by saying I have owned every Jap brand, and this is the first time I have owned so many Honda's at once. At one time I had a Kawi, Zuki, and Yammi and no Honda.
I've always liked Honda's because of the already mentioned ergo's, me being a taller guy, they have always seemed to fit me well. And probably the main reason I have a stable full of Honda's at this time, is because they always make a machine with a good balance, meaning all around good at everything, not necessarily the best at one thing. And not to mention reliability is always on par with anything else.
And the comment about "people buying them because of the rep with cars" is one of the most retarded things I have heard on these forums.

Honda goes to extremes on being sure no mistakes are made in manufacturing. Every important bolt torque setting is verified by a second person. Motor and drive components are tested twice, once during assembly and again after final assembly before shipping. The designs are kept simple (with exception of auto tranny utility models and uni-cam sport models) which increase probability of trouble free life. On the other hand, if you want either a full featured utility like me or a high performance sport quad, then the Honda's are not always so great.
