Default Looking to by Foreman 500 4x4 ES w/ EPS

I currently have two Recon 250's and have not had problems other than the obligatory "angle sensor" replacement. Anyone have one of these Foreman 4x4 ES with the power steering? I am thinking the power steering will take some of the shock out of hitting obstructions (messed up shoulder joint) and therefore mean less pain and more quality riding time. Thoughts or comments on them?

Thanks in advance.
Scott

I think all of the magazines have had reviews recently on this machine, along with the power steering option. You might want to look around at some current and recent back issues and see if you can find them.

The one thing that comes across in all the reviews is that this is pretty much a pure utility, with not much that is very "sporty" about it. Unless you need a work quad, you might want to think about something else, like maybe the new Rancher 420????

I have taken the new foreman 4x4 ES out a couple of times. I hear some people say it's not to sporty but ask them if they've ridden it. send me your email address and i'll forward you a couple of pics of me plowing the rutts with it at the badlands in Attica, IN. I ran this section of the creek trail with it and at the very end every time down i would do 360's/720's all in 2x4 while all the other guys watched. just to add insult to injury on those fools my wife took our Recon down the same trail and busted a 360!!!!! there are quite a few sand dunes at the badlands too and riding up and down the steep hills and doing donuts in the pits as well as riding mx trails cut all through there is a freaking blast on the foreman. you can't go wrong. plus, my bro got his from a shenendoah honda in virginia for 5,100 brand spanking new.

Good Luck, and if i miss you here congrats on the new quad!!!

Sorry for the important omission on intended use. Being on the "back side of 40", my sport days are pretty much over. I wake every day with the aches that remind me of my supposed invincibilty of my youth. I will use the Foreman as either a work vehicle around the ranch, trail rides or hunting. No mud bogs but lots of trail mud and rocks, logs etc. I have to act "kind of mature" so as not to give my daughter any more "ideas". She rides a Fourtrax 70.

Thanks for the reponses thus far and I will go see if I can find some reviews.

It is supposed to take the shock out. I can tell you that the steering is so light that you can do it with a finger. I saw one recently. With the motor off, it felt like any other quad when turning the handlebar back a forth. Crank it up and it feels like the quad is not touching the ground!
