Jed (650Viper) has mine now, you might ask him how he cured that.

Same here, mine has leaked for years. I have replaced the oring a couple of times and it helped a fair bit. I am not sure if there is a proper one or not but the one I installed was a BMW part. I may have the part number somewhere if you want.

I will give anything a shot, nobody has found a quick cheap fix. And another question, What silicone should I use, everyone talks about the blue RTV, is this the best stuff?

Larger diameter o-ring... I think its a 19. Search for the thread I had started a while back. Go to a nice hardware store, and they should have a large selection of o-rings, in different sizes. Mine leaked like crazy until I puit in the bigger ring.

If you have tried different factory style orings with no sucess try finding a local.hyd hose and oring supplier. Most hardware and auto parts stores only carry Buna orings which are the dog chit of our industry try getting a silicone oring,or a metric half size larger,or switching to an american equal they are normaly a tad larger try changing you cross section size which is the size of the oring material diameter.size may not matter too the girls but it dose in the oring world. What i have seen in several bikes. Is belive it or not the buna oring gets hard pretty fast it then rubs on the alum surface and makes a over size groove that is the culprit it is not even noticable in most cases but 1 100th of a thousands counts in sealing. And one must remember your not sealing oil your actualy sealing air or case presasure. The oil is just a probuct in the case exhaust. good luck and and may the hands of thiessis guied you.
Black orings buna : No good for light sealing extremely strong in hi presure systems
Red mylar :Not the greates for light sealing pretty good in hi presure sytems
yellow silcone mylar :good for light to heavy duty sealing oils air ect.
green silicone haylar:Good for light duty sealing (Most commonly used in ac systems)
white pure silicone :Real good for light duty applications(mainly used in food grade applications)

I finally went the RTV rout. . .
I actually bought a new starter nose piece from BMW. . . found my starter o-ring was actually wearing down.
Thought about having The Preacher put a second groove in the nose piece to help too. . . never got around to that. I've. . .er, the new owner of my quad, has a new nose piece and an old one that perhaps he could try putting a second o-ring in and someone could try.
