Default 2006 Scrammy shock spring on 2003 Fox shock?

I've ordered a 2003 Fox shock for my 2006 Scrammy and planned on using the stock spring. However, I have read a couple of threads where people have said the spring is too short. On the flip side I've seen where it will work great. I guess I'm looking for clarification and planning on what I might need to do once my shock comes in and I'm ready to install. The years I've guys post regarding were not 2006, but one was 2005 and he claimed it was too short (the spring) for the 2003 Fox shock.

Will this work? Is this a good match?

I'm curious as well, since my 2004 shock is bad.

What is the eye-eye length for the new 2004+ and the older Fox set ups? you can find Fox shocks and springs on ebay.
