Default Polaris rear work light

New to the forum--loks really nice.

I've got a month or so old Polaris Sportsman 700. They offer the standard and deluxe versions at the dealers, with one of the options on the deluxe being the rear work lights. Supposedly, all of the components for the rear work lights, with the exception of the dash mounted switch, come on the standard version--there is just no switch to operate the lights.

I'd like to add the switch if it is indeed this easy. Has anyone had any experience with this modification?

Chris

There was a thread recently with the part number for a cheaper switch than what Polaris charges.
In two years, I personally have never used my rear lights.

Remeber this, If you do go with the OEM switch, there are rectangle marks on the back(inside) of the pod for knock out reference guides!

There is a reverse light MOD you can do also to turn on when you put the quad in reverse...............................ScrammyTodd told me about it!!!!....Caper.........

I use mine for loading on trailer at night, backing into my garage..without the garage lights on,lights up my yard trailer at night when towing......also flash them when my wife is riding behind me to get her attention to look at the dam deer on the side of the trail........She would end up just riding by!!!!!!!!...Caper......

Thanks for the feedback guys. Sounds like all I need is the switch and possibly some bulbs for the lights. I like the idea of hooking them onto the reverse module for reverse operation, too.
