Thumbs up work light

I just ordered a Polaris work light kit for my 07 sportsman 500.

From Quadovator:

ATV parts, ATV tires, Quadovator ATV Accessories

There should have been two bulbs in the kit. Bring it back and let the dealer know you got shorted. I believe the nine volt battery connection mentioned in a previos post is for diagnostics.

Default Rear Work Lights

Has Anybody done the Reverse Light Mod out of the work lights?? I think i would have more use for that than installing a switch, depends on how easy they are

Default Rear Light Mod

Did a search on the old posts and found this one. Hope it helps!

n my '03 600, I tapped the purple wire running from the trans. switch as a ground, then ran a fused wire to 12v off my tailight/brakelight wiring. When you shift into reverse, the purple wire grounds completing the circut. Works great when plowing snow (no toggle switches to fumble with) and trail riding (other riders coming up behind you can tell your in reverse and to use caution) Did this mod to mine just after I bought it new . No problems, just be sure to seal up all your connections good. Hope this helps. Later

that is only true for the older style sportsmans Switz, for the newer ones, I believe a relay is required, so it's just as easy to buy the kit from quadovator, or you could just buy the bulbs and switch

Also, I haven't seen the bulbs posted yet, so you need 2 GE 912 or 921 bulbs, the 921's are brighter, and a water proof switch, I got a normal toggle switch, and then a rubber boot, to make it water proof all for about $10 or so

Thanks for catching that. Haven't done it on my 800 and probably won't. Got my kit from Popo so I guess it would be easier just to switch the light on when needed.

Alright, Just installing the switch seems to be the easier way anyway, but i will see what i want to do, i have work lights installed on my truck under my tool box in the bed and i never use them, so i really don't know if i would ever use ones on my fourwheeler

The wiring harness is the same with or without the light. If you find the harness connector for the switch and find out how many pins try Radio Shack or your local auto parts store for a switch, just match the pin #.
