FIRST OF ALL, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME IN MY QUEST TO FIND THAT PERFECT QUAD. I RODE MY NEW 01 300EX TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME... IN SUB-ZERO WEATHER!
WHAT A BLAST! I EVEN DID MY FIRST DONUT EVER!
NOW THIS MAY NOT SEEM TO BE MUCH FOR MOST OF YOU, BUT CONSIDERING I HAVE ONLY BEEN RIDING FOR TWO YEARS, AND I AM OLD ENOUGH TO BE MOST OF YOUR MOTHERS, THIS IS A HUGE MILESTONE FOR ME. HOPE EVERYONES CHRISTMAS AND NEWYEARS ARE AS HAPPY AS MINE... RIDE ON.....

01 300EX (MINE-AND I AM NOT SO BLUE ANYMORE)

Hey, Congratulations!!! Get some pics up of you in a donut! Try wheelies! lol Great sport isn't it? I wish everyone felt as you do.. It's great to see someone come in excited about doing something as simple as a donut! Kinda refreshing to me!

Congrats! I know the feeling of doing a successful donut! I have a Recon with a narrow wheelbase; I really have to be in the mood to risk being thrown off! I'm glad more women are posting on this site. I love to ride my fourwheeler and I wish more females would give it a try

Lilgirlblue-just a thought: I am 200+ lbs. and the stock 300EX shock settings seem OK for me. I remember you saying you are quite light, so you might want to remember to lighten up the preload on the shocks for a smoother ride when you head out on the trail after the snow melts.

Thats funny trailqueen, my last quad was a Recon and I sold it cause I kept getting bumped off!
Maybe you should try the 300ex too, it has a great suspension.

Not so blue anymore...

Thanks YZGUY - I will tell my hubby when he gets home tonight. He did ask me if I had read anything about that... so now we know.

lilgirlblue...you made me chuckle!!!! I am glad you are enjoying you brand new 300ex!!!
Donuts in the snow are great!!! ...except when you are ME and get the "evil eye" for doing them in the yard!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Donuts in the mud are even better!!!!
You need to get some pictures so the rest of us can see you in action!!!!
I LOVE MY QUAD!!!! So I know all about those litle things that can make you happy!!! (Like slingin' mud on my husband when he gets tooo close to me on the trails!!!!!!)
Enjoy your new toy!!!!

Pictures are coming soon! I just have to get them developed. I don't think he got one of me doing the donut, I was at the end of the road, but he did get some of me riding. I will have to see what developes and then I will post them.

Not so blue anymore!

What the hell is a donut? Is that the move where you make the back of the quad spin completely around without the front wheels turning or moving?
