Has anyone had this problem?

When I turn off headlight, battery starts to charge backup.

I have extra ground to motor and ground off rectifier.

When tests system, everything checks to specs.

This is a 2005.

 

I'm just thinking out loud here.... but have you checked your wiring loom from the light to the rest of the harness. If there is a short to ground you would lose all charging capabilities. Just a thought since no one else is as big a loser as I am to be sitting home on a Saturday night farting around online.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Anyone ever had this problem. My son is taking the quad to work tommorrow to check headlight wiring.
