I have heard more than one dealer claim that people are going over 100MPH with these things with the right tires.

It's the funnest quad I have ever owned and in 4wd I can beat everything on the 1/8 mile dirt drag strip however it only goes 75-80mph contrary to what rumor has it as. It will get there real quick though.

Are they governed then? Seems like a 800 Renegade should go faster than a Outlander!

 

My Renegade went 77mph at 8000rpm, until I put a set of 26inch PXT on it(geared it up) and it now will hit 81.5mph at 8000rpm .( govener). Alll on pavement with a GPS. The speedo will only read up to 76mph. It does 70mph in about 700 feet and takes about 9to 10 secs to get there.

 

I've only had mine up to 70 in 2wd on a snow packed frozen lake, and the RPM only got up to 7000. Maybe if I screw out the speed limiter it might go faster but that's as it is from the factory. If you want to, go or need to go faster, I hope you have a huge frozen lake to go across if you feel that's not fast enough and like everyone else said already it gets there pretty quick. If you ride with other people and you're in front you had better warn them about large rocks that you might discharge in their direction. You punch the gas and anything your tires are riding on will become dangerous projectiles.

 

The only Renegade I know of that is capable of hitting tripple digits is the one Team Epic/Can-Am races in the SCORE and BITD series. With smaller tires and subtle changes the one tested in DirtyWheels clocked at over 90mph has hit 105mph radar confirmed in full race trim....

That said there are very few places or situations where riding a quad at 100mph would be necessairy or sane.....

Had 77MPH/8G RPM, still new. Just got the valves adjested, 1st service, only gonna get faster [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

The answer to your question is 80 mph.

An observation on dealers, they are piles of lying skat.

 

LOL, thanks for the reply's. I figured it better to ask the people who know than trust a dealer. However, it looks like it not entirely impossible with some mods.
