Whats the best product to clean mud/clay from an atv?
#1
Ok so I got a pair of 400ex's that my son and I trailride in Capital forest (Washington State) and the mud has alot of clay in it. Fun to play in but a nightmare to get off of our quads.
When we get home I fire up the pressure washer and blast it then I follow up with a scrub down with a brush and dishwashing soap. Two hours later they are finally clean!
My question is does anyone know of a product that I could spray on that will take that "mud film" off that the pressure washer leaves behind. I'm looking for a faster way to clean these.
Thanks for your help!

engine shampoo works great, just keep it off the plastics. for the plastics you may want to try putting some spray nine on it then scrub it. Just make sure it is not hurting the plastics.

I use Mean Green cleaner (found by the household cleaners) it works pretty good for the price, A tip for easy cleaning is Armor All your atv before going ride

At least you have a pressure washer, imagine how long it takes with a hose without much pressure!

Armour All Gel (no over-spray) for all the plastic - wipe on pre ride - Everything washes off easier and plastic keeps that deeper color. As for the rest of the machine, you're already doin' it

These sound like great ideas, I will try them all.
My main problem is keeping the motor looking nice, the fenders clean up fast enough but getting to all the nooks in the frame and motor is whats takes the time.
I will try to find some of that engine soap.
This forum is great!
Thanks!
