Front U joint removal problems ..need help..

Front U joint removal problems ..need help..
03 front U joint,I got the clips off now i'm stuck..In forum searches I see that you use a socket and bang on the bearing(top of joint) this is doing nothing ..To me it looks like the bearings need to be backed out banged in..Need help and tips to get this damn thing off..Thanks for the help
