Default Fine tuning my jetting(air/fuel screws) 02 Raptor

My raptor seems to be a little rich still, the base ring in the plug is BLACK. So im going to try and work on ea individualy and get the needles, mains and air/fuel all dialed in. I was just curious to check the air/fuel screws, if I coudlk put a new plug in, start the quad and just let it sit and idle for say 5-10min, shut it down, and check the plug. Wiould this actualy work or does it need to be driven really slow?? Thanks

I have found that those air screws don't do much. 2.5 to 3 turns out and forget about them. They only work at idle. If you go slow, you will be using the pilots. If you are rich, you should lean your mains or needles. Also, check the float level. They alway change to the rich side.
