Default Redcat 110

Can't get engine to start...it turns over and wants to start, but won't kick in the last little bit. I have torn apart the carb, changed the gas, changed the spark plug all to no avail. I have actually gotten it to start for about 2 seconds, but the second I let off the throttle it dies. I have adjusted the carb per one of the guys here instructions and it has come as close to starting as ever, but no kick in. I have taken the spark plug out and it is black and wet. Any help would be most appreciated as my 11 yr old would like to ride it again...it has been 8 months since he rode it.

Thanks,

Someone recently was having problems similar to yours and fixed the problem with a valve adjustment. The valves were too tight and the cylinder was leaking down due to the valves not closing all the way.

Thanks for the information, I will try to adjust the timing and valves and see what happens.
