Avoid at all cost. This scam has been around as long as the DS itself. If you do a Google or Yahoo search for DS scams you will find thousands of them, worded identical to this one. The banks have caught on but it used to work before they could stop the transaction.
Normally you would do as instructed, deposit the check, then send the remainder to the "shipping company". They took the money and ran and when the bank got around to figuring it all out you were stuck with the penality of paying them back the amount you transferred and of course you didn't get anything out of it but screwed.
They try it for all makes and models but for some reason the DS used to get alot more play than the others.
If it sounds too good to be true.... and why would you sell to someone who has such a gross usage of the English language? Greetings and Happy Weekend? WTF?
They used to call you "friend" all of the time in these letters.

Don't fall for it.

Sounds like a scam to me too.

Send him back a reply asking if he can drop the price of oil back to 28 bucks a barrell too. If he does that, I'll send him mine.

Sounds like a scam. See the Western Union comment? Run, don't walk.
