Default Grizzly 700 oil check tube

How water tight is the oil check tube on the 700 griz? I've been checking my oil regularly, and the ease of which the check stick pulls out worries me when i get into water.

I'm not as concerned about water getting in as I am that a stick or tree branch getting in there and pulling the dip stick out. Wouldn't take long for the engine to pump all the oil out.

I haven't really thought of that as a problem, but I guess we could put a small bungee cord thru it to hold it in place.

I agree that it seems like it should screw in place.
