Default Putting a temp gauge on a Rancher

Hello I brought a 2007 Rancher 420 4x4 ES a few weeks ago. I was wondering even though it is liquid cooled can a temperature gauge be put on it? If so how would it be wired to work? I want this so when I am going real slow riding though the woods where there is no trails I can no how hot the engine is. Also as a backup to the overheating light.

Thanks alot mike

I use the fan as my temperature gauge. If the fan is coming on, then things are getting hot. Mine has only come on once....

Also, if you are in very hot country, consider running the thicker oils. I plan to run Maxima Extra 15W50 for the hot So. Calif. summers.

They make what youre looking for. There are 'stick on' paper strips which just attach to the radiator or jug, and have built in temperature changeing colors. I think rocky mountain has 3 for 15 bucks. Then if youre willing to spend more, there are adaptors with a built in mechanical gauge...no wiring, just look and see. I think they run about 89 bucks. I think rocky mountain has them too.
