Default runs good only on half choke 200x

i have an 85 200x that i locked up the engine on, put in a new piston, rings etc.... the piston is a 10.25:1 compression ratio. anyway i also put a brand new carb on and it starts up great and runs pretty good on half choke but it bogs down when you put it into full throttle on no choke. i've adjusted the throttle needle on all the settings and still can't seem to get it to run good without the choke. any suggestions?

If it runs better with the choke on, then you either have too much air after the carb ( intake leak) or you are needing more fuel. What main jet size does your new carb have? Is there any other mods to the trike ( exhaust, filter, cam ??)

i don't know for sure what the main jet size is, i ordered the carb from powersportspro.com and i assume its stock size. it does have a coffman pipe on it but not any other mods. i did adjust the CDI settings and it made it run a lot better, and the spark plug gap was not right and that helped but it's just not quite there. how do i get more fuel? different jet? and if so how do i know for sure which one to get and where do i get them? thanks

The stock main jet is a 110 If you take it out , a bike shop can match it up....You need around a 118-120. Honda trikes in stock form were a touch lean and ran better with a bigger main jet.

Make sure the float setting is correct on the carb, and make sure the carb is clean before you mess with rejetting though!!!!
