Default 97 Warrior not starting & summer is right around the corner

I have a 97 Warrior 350 & it doesn't even attempt to start. It ran great when I parked it except for when I went to start it up, it would click a few times then atempt to start, click a few more times then fire up. It sat outside all winter in Alaska & when I went to pull it out, it was doing that clicking then attempting to start but when I got it into the garage it stoped all together. I checked the connections, the lights all work, the fuse in the wiring is good. I was thinking it was either the solenoid or the CDI but I wanted to see if anyone had had this problem before I started spending money for no good reason. All you help is greatly appreciated & pictures can be taken if need be. Thank you.

Sounds like your battery is dead...?? It clicks when you attempt to start it.

i have a 99 warroir. yea i would check your battery first. i had to jump it from my Raptor but i actually made a set of jumper cables from speaker wires that work great. but i you look on the lets side of your bike above the rear tire is your solenoid. you can jump it out to test your solenoid. but when my batter did get weak, it did the clicking sound too. might want to put it on the charger for a while.
good luck

I think my battery may be my problem because I charged it & now nothing turns on, I think I just fried it. I will go get a battery tomorrow but just in case I have no luck, are there ary other ideas? Thank you again,

StngGT350:

Are you saying jump it from the solenoid or battery?

no i cant think of really any. i hope it is your battery, that would be an easy fix. few times i had the electrical connections come loose i guess from the vibrations especially at the battery. i actually used lock tight on that area on both my Raptor and warrior. also on my warrior i had to solnoid loosed too. but i hope it works for ya. sucks when your bike is down

good luck!!

If it isn't the battery, probably electrical?

Let us know what happens!

Being that all my lights work I waqs thinking about getting a recoil (pull start) & hope thats all I need. Anyone know if a late 80's recoil would work on my '97? Thank you all for your opinions & ideas.
