Default BRAND NEW 2006 800 EFI

I just bought a brand new polaris 800 EFI and so far love it but have a few questions. My main concearn is reliabiltiy after a wanting one for a few years
I ended up buying one from a local dealer that had them for a very good price
6900 0td. The morning after buying if the o ring on the oil filter blew out damaging
the motor thankfully the dealer handled it in a first class manner and pulled a brand new one out of the crate and gave a diffrent brand new unit. Now I know that oil filter orings do not fail that often but how are these atvs for long term
relabilty? The 2nd question is when should the 1st LOF be done at?

The intervals depend on the type of riding you are doing. If you are more prone to riding in the mud alot, aggresive trail riding or severe duty (like plowing snow alot or towing). I change mine after about 25-30 hours of use (heavy mudding). I did my first one at around 50 hours. My 800 has had no problems besides the flimsy two piece platic rivets coming loose and the shroud on the head pipe comes loose and rattles. So far very happy.

Most likley the hardest duty it will get is pulling out and launching jet skis a few
times a year at my cabin. How far into the water can these things go without
any problems?

I have had mine in water up over the top of the front racks. The quad will back down into the water up to the tail pipe fairly easy.

they are fairly rugged bike and water up to my seat w/out a problem. just remeber to use lowrange while pulling the jet skis out of the water.alot of weight there and the power you have could easily slip the belt.

This machines power is as advertised. I hooked a tow rope up to a decent sized
stump in the far back of my property and it riped it out of the ground and i towed it to my burn pile.
