Venom Winches
#1
Don't claim to have alot of experience with winches, but I will say the Venom Winch is an excellent buy.
I got my Polaris stuck, and had to go get my Jeep to have a place to hook up to, as there was nothing there to hook the winch to. It is a 2000# winch, and it began to drag my Jeep toward the atv. The Jeep was in park, and had the e-brake set. The other guy there had to put the Jeep in reverse to help pull the atv free. Also speaks good for the synthetic winch rope I put on it, as the Jeep weighs in at somewhere around 3700-3900#.
I was not going to spend $400-$500 for an atv winch, so I went with the Venom. Couldn't be happier.

I've had to use mine twice. Performed perfectly.
Also, taking it apart to clean is very simple and straight forward.</end quote></div>
I had to take the clutch housing off because it quit freespooling. We had ridden in some sand, and some got into the cam follower. You're right, easy to take apart, and clean.

It was pretty intimidating to have like 60 loose pieces laying around though. I was kinda surprised how easily everything fit back together and that it actually worked fine the first time.
