raptor 50 wheel questions
#1
how wide are your wheel spacers.. i been looking around and noticed that there are some that are 1.5" on each side, is there something longer. what is the bolt patteren for the front wheels. what rims are you guys using to make the stance as wide as possible.

I have added 2" wheel spacers to our raptor 80 and 50. I got the ones for the 50 from ebay. just search under "Raptor 80". these are lug type. I got the ones for the 80 at http://www.weirdharoldscoolparts.com/new%20page0.htm. these are flat aluminum spacers. real nice, but require offset rims to install. I believe that there are aluminum ones that do not require rim changes. I got the rims and tires also at the same ebay location ("Raptor 80"). these are ITP offset aluminum rims and holeshot tires. the spacers, rims and tires make the machine handle awesome.

Front: 19X6-10 Holeshot MXR6 Tires
Rear: 18x10-8 Holeshot MXR6 Tires
Front: T-9 Pro Series 10X5 3+2 4/88
Rear: T-9 Pro Series 8X8 3+5 3/90
if you want to go larger I was considering putting
Front: 21X7-10 Holeshot Tires
Rear: 20x11-8 Holeshot Tires
I emailed ITP and asked and they said that these will fit on the above rims.
the widest spacers I've seen for the Raptor minis are 2". I believe that this is because
of the lug size (8mm or 10mm). when I got my 2" aluminum spacers it came with larger studs that required me to drill out the new rims to the next metric size up (10mm or 12 mm).
I also removed the studs from the hubs and installed larger ones (10mm or 12mm) that I ordered from http://www.hardkorengineering.com/. I did not have to modify the hubs to get the larger wheel studs to fit.
I would assume that if you could find or make larger spacers (2.5" to 4") and changed the wheel studs to the next size up that it would be ok. the present 2" spacers, wheels and tire combination that are on our Raptor mini work really good.

i like the front size of 19x6 and 18x10 holshot but i am setting up my little raptor for the dunes. i'm affraid if i go with 18" in the rear it will not have the acceleration i want in deep sand.. have you seen anyone with the new exciter paddles or heard of anyone using them...

i have been looking at a couple of different paddles and i am undecided. i want the exciter 16x8.5x8 but some say the glider 18x8.5x8 would be better. what do you guys think about the sand stars 18x8.5x8. which would you guys go with.. my raptor 50 has all the mods except an aftermarket exhaust.
