Default 06 sportsman 500 rear driven clutch ?

Does anyone know what the effects are when the spring has gone out in the rear driven clutch? Do they go out often? I replaced all 3 ramp buttons which were broken and now Low works fine but High isnt gaining speed like its suppose to. The bushings were fine and all the other parts look ok so i'm assuming its the spring. The spring wasnt broken or didnt look stressed but i dont know what it look like when they go out...

are you sure you preloaded the spring when you put it bacl together and put the spring in the right holes? if the spring breaks, you should be able to slide the clutch sheeves right back in forth w/out much restiance. just a thought.

EBS secondary clutches don't have holes in them. You may need to sevice your primary clutch, or check your alingnment.

non ebs have the standard secondary clutches. when you put the clutch sheeve on you need to rotate it about a 1/3 of a turn so the buttons will go to the next side of the ramp on the helix. its kinda of hard to explain lol. make sure you feel a preload when your winding the spring. it doesnt ktake alot to do it. hope this helps.
