Chain Adjustment
#2
It is a simple procedure and welcome to the forums...When you look at the rear you will see on the swingarm that there are bolts holding the carrier tight (either 2 or 4 bolts not sure with the 400 how many there are) loosen up the bolts and that will allow you to turn the carrier...I usually take a screwdriver or there is a thing in my 450r kit that allows me to fit into the slots on the rear carrier...Put one of them through the holes on the rear sprocket and into the groove on the carrier and push the bike forward or back to loosen or tighten the chain...Make sure it is up to specs with play in the chain and clean and lube the chain if needed...If you need any help or clearing up let me know.
