Fuel leak-new to this 2001 350 Rancher
#1
Just bought a 2001 Rancher. Has 49 hours on it. Everything looks and runs perfect.
A fuel line (looks like an overflow) near rear suspension is leaking.Drips right out of the line.
Changing oil, air filter, oil filter and fuel now. What other maintenance should I check. No maintenance history available.
Thanks for the help.

if you left the fuel valve turned on while trailering/hauling, i wouldnt worry about it, just a little fuel sloshing around in the carb.
if it still leaks when sitting in a garage, etc... you might have a bad float and/or float valve in the carburetor
check valve clearance as per a shop manual, l

Probably the float in the carb is stuck open. Might be a little bit of grit, or it could need adjusting.
My Rancher did the same thing and I took it out and did a few big jumps and it cured the problem (probably racked the float up and down and dislodged some grit). Still, if I had a new (used) machine, I would clean the carb just so I knew what I was starting with....

Are you sure it is fuel? I have a 06 Rancher 350 and it has a breather hose comming up from the rear differential going up high by the shock. Our fuel overflow go down by the front shocks, that year might be different don't know!
