Anyone seen a Raptor 250 yet?

Hey, I'm there! I'm only brand loyal up to a point. (I have been posting stuff on this machine all along...where you been????). I had a Blaster a hundred years ago, and I sure miss it. This thing has play bike written all over it.....
My boys would love one! The 250EX does have an advantage in the technical stuff, being autoclutch and shaft drive, but it does have limited suspension. On the other hand for more pure sport riding, a full manual left hand clutch is the only way to go. The g/f is on the short side...she might like one too???
On the other hand, the new Suzuki LT250R will be all by itself in a whole new class, and probably make all the other medium size machines including this new Raptor look like slugs! The other manufacturers better get on the band wagon...or get left behind. Makes me wish I was a kid again!

The article said that the 250 will fit a number of different size riders. This should be good news to Yamaha fans, because the Raptor 350 never was an answer to anybody's prayers. With its really favorable weight/power ratio, the 250 should haul a medium size rider around with no problem.
Nice to see the sport quads getting lighter! Not so nice to see the utes getting heavier!

Honda has the 300EX, which is really an excellent machine! It has reverse and descent suspension. The engine has a fair amount of hop up potential. It unfortunately doesn't get much attention, being sandwiched between the very popular 250 and 400EX's. I have always though it was a little on the heavy side however....
The Raptor 250's huge advantage is going to be its very light weight. Beginners find big heavy machines intimidating, and the Raptor 250 should take care of that...as long as they are willing to use a clutch.
