Default cleaning a 350 raptor carb

When cleaning the carb is there anything that I need to pay close attention to or need to clean really well. The pilot jet is plugged and was going to unplug it.

While you're in there you may as well check and clean the main jet and the bowl.

I took the carb all apart and blew everything out. All the jets and where the needle is as well, put it all back together and it will fast idle with the choke but when you turn off the choke it idles down and runs for a second then it will pop and spit back through the carb and then die. I don't know what's wrong. I checked the fuel pump diaphram and the carb slide diaphram also. They both looked good.

Did you try turning your idle up?? Sounds like you have the idle set too low to me?

Yep. That was one of the first things that I tried. It seems like it's way too lean at an idle and just dies. I might need to take apart the carb again and look it over really good.

It needed changed a while ago but i neglected it. Now I have to get it cleaned out and keep the fuel clean that it's getting. I think that between the idle mixture screw and the pilot jet is where my prob is. I'll see what I can do.
