Best after market pipes for warrior
#1
I recently purchased a new 2000 warrior and am looking to do some modifications. So I thought that I would start with a new pipe. So thought I would come here for some good advice and input. So if anybody has any good recommendations on pipe selections please let me know.

I'm getting a White Bros E-Series pipe with a torque stuffer within the next few weeks. Check out this website, http://www.geocities.com/~gtthunder/testbed_set.html, they rated the E-Series the best. At the same time, I'm also getting a Pro Flow air filter conversion kit (since the factory setup is a joke), as well as a Moto Force or DG airbox cover at the same time, so I only have to re-jet once.

Thd,
Congratulations on your new ride.. you'll no doubt get more opinions than you can ever use, but here is one more. Check out a Curtis Sparks Racing pipe. You won't find many replies that mention this one, but if you read any of the GNCC or TT results you'll see that Sparks Racing engines are in many of the top finishing machines. He doesn't do much advertising, he doesn't have to as he has a one man shop nd his work is top flight. I have had his pipe on my Warrior for two years. It did wonders for mid-range to top end performance. At the time he built mine he was building a racing pipe without spark arrestor or also one with a Super Trapp silencer for forest riding. After building the pipe he sends it out to be nickel plated, since nickel plating doesn't discolor or turn blue from heat like other finishes.

Most aftermarket companies don't sell a header for the Warrior, since Yamaha made the stock header nice and big to begin with.
You can normally replace the stock muffler and gain a little performance (8 - 10%).
Most aftermarket exhaust systems for the Warrior (which include the header and muffler) only help on built engines over 400cc.
