So, my wife and I have never rode together (without the kids) since we bought these machines. I've ridden about 120 hours and she has only ridden about ten hours. Two days ago, we went for our first ever ride together, about 20 miles out and back. I suggested that we switch ATV's for the ride back, so we did. When we got back home, she said "I like yours better". She already knew of my plans to sell it and get the Kawasaki, so she asked if she could keep it for herself and I sell her Hawkeye. (No problem!)

She prefers the yellow and my SP is blue. I stopped at the dealer yesterday and ordered yellow body work for the SP, which I'll install behind her back. There is a fairly decent crack in the front cab that I don't have a problem with, but she said it would have to be fixed if the SP was to be hers. My plan is to put the yellow plastic on it and then tell her that I fixed the crack and she should check it out. She'll then be surprised with her new yellow SP!

I am very happy to keep the SP, as it has been a very good ATV, never caused me a problem since new, and I have put some custom touches on it. The next ride we take together will be me on the BF and her on the SP. Just thought I'd share a short story with you all.

my b.friend was getting an 08 him self because its the efi so hopefully you'll have good luck w/ it as he likes his and your wifes getting a good trade vs her hawkeye i would think.

If you puke that shade of green, that I would agree that you ate some nuclear waste! LOL!!!! One thing for sure, when I come to a "Y" in the trail, the followers can easily know which way I went!

 

Yeah, I saw a guy with a puke green Kitty Cat. I thought only Kawasaki did that kind of thing. I stand corrected. It did look kinda nice after it got covered with mud. With all the ribbing I've given you I gotta admit that I'd rather have the nuclear puke green than the purplish faded Polaris camo. Did I really say that??? Good point. I am glad that Polaris fixed the camo thing! The newer ones aren't fading, right?

 

hey insti, just wondering if you have had any plugged rad. issues w/ your new ride. i know both my buds w/ theres get in the mud to the rad it fills and dries there overheating shrty after?

 

Couldn't have bought my Kitty if it'd been that color. But, the blue-grey color looks *real* good. ;D
