Does anyone know if the '08' sportsman 800 is a true duel exhaust or just a muffler cross over to the second muffler?

 

while I have no way of knowing for certain, I am assuming they will still do the crossover.

 

My dealer said it is the exact same "duel" as the 07 which is a crossover system. ie. 2 into 1 into 2. If you look at the cost of going to a true duel, Polaris would have to raise the price a few hundred bucks. Plus, they would be all over their website touting the increase in horse power and how much more torque it has. I don't think you will see the 800 in a true duel until they have a bit of an overhaul on the old design. May see it when they decide to shoot straight and make the 760cc engine they call an 800 a true 800cc engine. You never know.

we can only hope that happens if they ever do increase the cc's. but at least they wen tback to the dual exhaust which to me has a better sound then the singles.
