questions about 350x engine

Default questions about 350x engine

i just bought and 350x engine to put it in my 300ex. theirs a few things i need to know.
1) what is the clips were a cable seems to go on the head and above the kickstart for and do they need to be connected.
2) what is the opening above the oil filter for and were dose it connect to.
3) theirs an opening below the oil filter what is it for and were does it connect to.

This engine should have a de-compression cable running from the kick starter to the exhaust side on the head ..

There is an oil cooler that connects on the clutch cover above & below the oil filter housing ..

so the clip from tha head connects to the kick start. do i need a oil coolier or can i block it off.

You can't block them off the motor wouldn't pump oil... 1 hole is from the crankshaft & the other is oil going into the oil filter ...

You should have an oil cooler. My brother just bought a small (car) transmission cooler to use on his 350cc 250x. He zip-tied it to the frame under the hood.

Default questions about 350x engine

tomorrow im going to buy the rest of the parts i need for the conversion (the harness, cdi, and oil cooler). after buying these parts im in $745 im hoping to spend only $100 more for making the header and connect that to the fmf pipe and muffler i already had when i bought the quad.i reed in another topic someone asked how much it would cost he got a reply of $2000.looks like im spending $1200 less then i first guessed.
