Default 686- do i need a new battery

I just buttoned up my 686 and I go to start it and it will bearly turn over, is the comp too high for the battery? I started it by pop starting in 2nd gear, once it was started it ran like hell. Should I get a new battery? and if so what should the cca be? I race, how am I going to get it started before a heat?

A grizzly battery will fit in your existing battery box. It has a higher cca rating and will help. This is what I had to do with my 10.75/1 686 JE setup. Mine still does not want to start very well. It's very odd that some people have zero slow start issues on higher compression Raptors and some have a ton. Your not gonna want to do it, but you will need an oe replacement from the dealer and they are upwards of $100. All of the other battery types are junk....trust me on this one. Good luck.
