I have a 98 yamaha big bear 350 4X4 can someone tell me why this model is so different from other you can not get a jet kit, carb rebuild kit and other stuff for this model. I was interested in purchasing a ATV power kit with a Jet kit and a K&N air filter but they dont make it for a 98 model. Also can someone also tell me what the polit air screw setting is supposed to be.

is the carb a 36mm BTM mikuni? if it is then you can use parts for a warrior carb. they share the same motor, i just dont know about the carburetor. hope that helps.

 

Always buy a manual for what ever bike you have. It will be the best 20.00 you ever spent.
You can buy the jets separately for your carb. I just bought the next 2 sizes richer for my 99 and it cost me like 8 bucks for both.

the pilot screw setting is
YFM350ER = 2-1/4 turns
YFM350FW = 2-3/4
YFM350U = 2-3/8
YFM350FWB = 2

Hey thanks I talked to a guy at C&D raing and he said that in 98 they may have used carbs from 97 but the carb. part numbers matched between 98 &99. Also i found out that my problem is that that carb is sucking air not sure where but when i spary carb cleaner on the engine side of the carb it idles up.
