Help. The headlights on my 2003 Sp keep shutting off after about 30 seconds of riding. 15 seconds later they come back on. Not just the headlights but the speedo display too. The machine keeps running. I have a new battery. I have the 3 headlight mod and it doesn't matter if I am in high or low beam. I disconnected the mod and still have the problem. I have 55W backup lights too and do not experience this problem when those are left on - yes I used a relay. I am thinking circuit breaker somewhere, but where?

In case anyone else needs the solution or otherwise cares: The problem was just as I suspected, a circuit breaker. There are two "sealed" plastic pouches just in front of the headlight pod, inside the front plastic cover. I slit them open and found circuit breakers inside. One was pristine, the other corroded badly. I'm on my way to the auto parts store.
