Default Scrambler Swing Arm Problems

Anyone have problems with the swingarm bushings lasting? Seems like every time I go ride I have to use nearly an entire tube of grease. The bushings just don't last long. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums, Crashxx.

My nephew has had a problem with the swing arm bolt. Loosens up and gives the whole rear end about 1/2 of play.

He's the lazy type, so he hasn't looked at the bushings, but I would think it's been tough on them as well.

Are you replacing them with factory bushings, or have you tried any after market brands?

Yea, I replace them with an after market brand that my local shop says is the best around. I'd like to find an after market swing arm that a guy could use sealed bearings in instead of the bushings. Hopefully someone will have a solution on the forums.

If you went to your local machine shop you could have them make brass bushings then they would last alot longer. It might cost you more but they way outlast the plastic ones.

most of the time it isnt the bushing itself but the brass bolts and spacer that wear.Check them if they are bad it is a Stealership item. replace the bushing with Pivot Works bushing.

Well, I thank you all for your input. However, I got fed up last night and went and bought the Can-Am Renegade 800. Hopefully I'll have better luck whith this one.
