I am having a big problem finding out what pipe is the best for a built 400EX. I called TC Racing Pro-Fab ATV, and Thumper Racing and they all told me that the stock header flows fine on the 400 and all you need to do is get a good silencer, but I also talked to White Bros, LRD,and Curtis Sparks and they said you need a new full system.

Who's telling the truth? What is the best system for the 400. Is it the DMC, or the other companies I have listed. Please help.

If I keep my stock headers and get a good slip on, will I be missing out on a lot of power?

from what i've heard..TC racing is correct, if you don't plan on major mods

 

DMC makes the ultimate 400ex exhaust, the full system gives you 7 more horses.
You can feel it pull from the very bottom all the way to the top.
There is no equal exhaust made for the 400ex then the DMC Double Barrel.

I have the Big Gun right now and it sucks, I am wondering what pipe would be best for my engine mods.

 

LDJ why are you not considering the exhaust from GT Thunder? It is not really made for a stock motor, but for a highly modified machine like yours it delivers! It would make at least four more horsepower on the setup you already have! Check it out!

 

LDJ, definately get the DMC. I have it on my 400EX and love it. I have basicly the same mods as you with the DMC, and my 400EX runs a tad faster than my cousins piped Banshee. I know my bike will run at least 80mph, but haven't radared it yet. Go with the DMC, you won't be sorry.

 

Right now I'm leaning towards the TC pipe, I have talked to Tom Carlson a bunch and other riders out there and they said it is a awesome pipe. One person e-mailed me today and said that he rides with his friend who has a sparks full exhaust, he said his TC pipe has a lot more bottom end and in races he normally beats his buddies bike. For only $315 I think it is a great deal. I know it is going to be mass loud, but I have my big gun W/a quiet core for the sensative areas.
