warrior starter clutch
#1
Me and my son are slowly rebuiding a 2001 warrior for him and I believe I need to replace the starter clutch. I was wondering if the one way bearing is the only thing that typically needs to be replaced. Also I wanted to know if this is a difficult task (looks pretty easy in the shop manual) and also where is the best place to get the parts. Any help is greatly appreciated

Welcome to the fourms first off and as for parts if your looking for OEM PARTS I would go to www.bikebandit.com or if ya want after market go to www.rockymountainatv.com they are both great places to deal with '' with great prices wayyyyyyyyyy cheaper than going to the local shop's..amd as for the one way no it's not bad at all to do...let me know how it come's along once you get started......Jeremy

Thanks for the help. I stumbled across South Seattle Yamaha while I was searching for parts and they are considerably cheaper than the other factory yamaha dealers (yamahasportsplaza.com) including bike bandit. I am waiting for a new starter which is what I originally thought was my problem until I found this forum (wish I would have found this sooner) and then I will kow for sure if I need a new starter clutch. I guess I also have to get a flywheel puller too Thank You once again--Jorge
