Default 05' 800 efi fuel pump

Hello all, I'm new to this site. I have a question regarding an 2005 800 EFI Sportsmen. The fuel pump is bad and all I can find is that I have to buy a new tank with the feul pump assembly and all. This is like $450. It seems like a rip off. Cant I somewhere just get a fuel pump? I have looked everywhere I can think. The pump has no name on it or anything and the dealers just want me to spend lots of money. Somebody help. Thanks

How did that pump work? Was it a direct replacement?

Many Thanks,

just post whats yours is doing. is it shutting off, hitching from lack of gas, or runs a while and shuts down. theres even been some on here that just had them sitting for a while and went to start them and had nothing from the pump.

Just to let you know. I had a siezed fuel pump(old gas) on a 700efi and according to the dealer I needed to replace the whole tank, estimate $728.00. Asked around on this forum got some good information. Ordered a new fuel pump from Auto Zone $78.00 plus a new screen $14.00 and fuel filter $11.00. Everything runs good now. The only thing I'm not sure of now is the guage. When I was putting gas in I saw the gauage move up. After I took it for a ride it showed full. The float might have gotten stuck. I can deal with that. Thanks for the help. Saved me about $600.00.
