Default Blaster problem

I have a 2001 blaster that has been sitting a couple of years. It has fire won't start. I drained the old gas and put some new gas in it. It gets spark but won't start. What should i do next?
Thanks

Its probably not getting fuel. I used to take the spark plug out and pour about 1oz of gas down the sparkplug hole, then put the sparkplug in and try to start it. Then you know its got fuel. If its been sitting for a while, the carberator probably needs cleaning.

Do you know if it ran when it was parked? Are you getting a nice blue spark? Have you tried a new plug? after all that do a compression test. If you don't have a compression gauge you can take the spark plug out and cover the hole with your thumb or finger and have someone kick it over. If the engine can blow your thumb off the hole it means it has at least some compression.

Clean your carb. Remove it and completely tear it down clearing out all ports. Make sure your airfilter is clean.

Your stator should be fine, they rarely go bad. It sounds like your spark is ok. You should get a compesson gauge. This information would help a ton!

I know the problem it may not sound like it but it is.....The piston and the cylinder....the same thing happened to me about a month ago....if you do get it started does it die out on u?....also you might want to check the idle screw under your seat above the carberator..that will also make a big difference.
