I'm new to this forum and just wanna say it looks great.

I just have two question for you DS fans . I just got my 2006ds 650x and I need to how tochange the oil in it. I want to change the transmission oil as well as engine oil. I know where to drain the trans oil , I just don't know what kind of oil so you use ? is it regular gear oil 80w90 or something else ? and is the filler on the right side of the case ? that little plastic screw ?
The other question I have is changing the engine oil and filter . I know where the filter however I don't know how to drain the engine oil . I noticed that it has an oil cooler reservoir but no clue where to drain it ? and what oil do you use in the engine ?

First off welcome to the forums, the trans uses regular bike eng oil, and to drain the oil it is in the tank. Both compartments use the same oil, and fill in the oil tank behind the headlight. Also remember that the oil and filter needs changed about every 8-10 hrs of use.

I already purchased 5 oil filter and I'm ready to change it. Do you guys use fully synthetic motor oil ? 5w30 or 10 w30 ?

I actually use Honda HP4 w/out moly 10w30, it is a blend and works great and is cheaper than the Bomb fully synthetic.
